Your new role

As material planner you are responsible for a portfolio of suppliers delivering to the central warehouses in Ghent and Lyon. You ensure and develop supplier delivery performance so Volvo is able to provide and deliver to the supplier. You actively work to avoid customers back orders and provide customers and stakeholders with information on the expected delivery date. You use your network to optimize deliveries and to escalate suppliers in case of deviations. With a mindset for continuous improvement you actively participate in finding improvements in the material planning processes.

What you will need to succeed

For this job as material planner you have a university degree, preferably in logistics or supply chain management or have relevant experience in stock management systems. You also have knowledge or experience in problem solving methods and have good knowledge of MS office. You are fluent in English verbally and written and have strong communication and negotiation skills. You are an action driven team player and networker in an international environment who dares to challenge suppliers to meet the set targets.
